The Open Day was fabulously hot and we had a good turn out of supporters.  There was a display of carriage driving  by Jack Shortman and Jaquie Holyoake driving Murphy;  a dressage display by Delphine Wise riding Stubbs and a vaulting display by most of the regular vaulters coached by Sam Gant and Holly Dormer using Spanish Heights.

Some photos from the day can be seen here

A huge success despite the appalling weather forecast and other high profile horse events being held that day.

Thanks go to very generous sponsorship by the companies and individuals and to all others who were kind enough to donate services in kind or reduced costs for the Group - a magnificent effort by all.

Many thanks also to Rock House Photography for their generous donation from the event photos sold which can be seen or purchased here

29th April

Fund raising event

Held at Walford College to raise funds for the Shropshire Special Riding for the Disabled Centre

A fantastic afternoon's entertainment was put on by the Group.

Demonstrations to music included the RDA ponies showing how fearless they are, Stubbs and Anne Browning did a freestyle dressage to music, Rikki Balshaw rode his Paralympic Freestyle to Music test and answered questions afterwards, two teams of vaulters from the Clwyd Group and from the Perry Group gave an impressive demonstration of their skills on horseback, Carriage Driving volunteers performed a long reining quadrille and Deb Daniels showed her talent at driving her pony Jack through a dressage test and through pairs of cones with balls on the top.

In between all of this, two of the Walford College students performed brilliantly inside the pantomime horse showing his paces in a Medium Dressage Test!!
