13 yr old thoroughbred gelding - the grandson of Derby winner, Shirley Heights

Spanish Heights, or Spanner for short, has recently come back in the ownership of the Group. Purchased from his breeder as a yearling, he was backed and brought on by us to do dressage, show jump and event. As a 6 year old he was sold on to a private home. Last year we became aware that he was back on the market and rather than let him go to somebody we didn’t know, the Group has bought him back.

The Perry Group is delighted to have ‘Spanner’ as a potential top class dressage horse who has the added ability to help our young vaulters go, literally, up in the world. He has a superb temperament and is also being used for back riding on a Saturday morning for a young man from Bridgnorth who is unable to ride unassisted and has to have someone sitting behind him to support him.
